Lin Xiaoman, a temple volunteer, finds a string of prayer beads engraved with 'Gu Jingshen'—and the real Gu Jingshen, a renowned real estate tycoon, shows up the same day. The beads are not only his late mother’s last wish but also the 'evidence' of a feud between his mother and Xiaoman’s missing mother 20 years ago. As Gu falls for Xiaoman while searching for the beads, he uncovers that his mother’s old misunderstanding destroyed Xiaoman’s family. Meanwhile, Xiaoman finds an old photo from the beads and realizes: the person she should hate is her lover’s mother. When the beads scatter, is it the truth coming to light, or the end of their love?
