Lin Xiaoman, a struggling art academy graduate, buys an old painting labeled "Daqian Imitation" from a street stall to raise money for her mother's surgery. Thinking it's a worthless fake, she's shocked when a mysterious old man starts following her to reclaim it, and an antique dealer offers a million yuan for it. When she opens the painting's interlayer, she discovers a genuine inscription by Zhang Daqian from 1943—left to save a friend. It turns out the old seller is the friend's grandson, and this "imitation painting" is a promise guarded with his ancestors' lives. Lin's "stall treasure" not only saves her mother but also uncovers a buried story of life-and-death friendship, helping her rediscover the warmth behind art.
