High school sweethearts Lin Shen and Xu Zhiqiu parted ways in the autumn of their 18th year due to a misunderstanding and lost contact for 28 years. In the 28th autumn, Lin Shen returns to his hometown because of an old notebook from his mother's relics, and accidentally meets Xu Zhiqiu, who runs a café, under the old wutong tree. The old misunderstanding—that he thought she accepted an overseas offer, and she thought he gave up their love for his studies—gradually unravels as a diary full of unspoken thoughts is found. At this time, Lin Shen's daughter is facing the college entrance exam, and Xu Zhiqiu's café is facing demolition. As they help each other solve their troubles, they re-examine the feelings buried for 28 years—will it be rekindled love or mutual fulfillment?
