Xie Jiacheng and Song Nuan once vowed their love under the moon, but when the Xie family was framed in a business scheme, he mistakenly believed Song Nuan was an "inside man" and left overseas in anger. Five years later, he returns to avenge his family, only to find Song Nuan still guarding their old courtyard—she places his favorite osmanthus cake under the osmanthus tree every 15th, and even shouldered the骂名 (infamy) of a "traitor" alone to protect his family's old house. When the full moon again floods the west chamber's eaves, they gaze at each other through the osmanthus fragrance, and the true hearts buried by misunderstanding finally reveal themselves in the moonlight.
