Zhou Jianguo, a 1980s factory worker, is unexpectedly reborn in 2023. To his horror, he finds his wife—who spent her whole life sacrificing for the family—still trapped in the chaos of their ungrateful children: the eldest son is a moocher begging to sell their old house for a school district home, the daughter dumps her divorce mess on them while blaming her in-laws, and the youngest has quit his job to chase livestreaming fame. In his past life, he died fixing their problems; now, he’s determined to be “tough”: freezing their savings to cut off the parasite, forcing his daughter to face her failed marriage, and sending the youngest to a construction site to learn responsibility. But just as he thinks he’s “fixed” everything, he uncovers the truth: the eldest needed the house to save his terminally ill wife, the daughter divorced to escape domestic violence, and the youngest livestreamed to raise money for their mother’s surgery… Is this “hardcore correction” healing the family, or shattering the silent love hidden behind their “immaturity”?
