Beauty blogger Lin Xiaoman has undergone seven plastic surgeries in three years to meet the “perfect aesthetics” of her boyfriend Gu Chuan, a plastic surgeon. On the operating table for the eighth time, under anesthesia, she dreams that her facial features turn into five women in old clothes—her high school ponytail eyes, her college dimpled smile, her freckled cheeks when she first met Gu Chuan... They tear off Gu Chuan’s gentle mask with tears: “He’s not fixing your face, he’s trying to lock your true self!” When the surgical lights come on again, Lin Xiaoman touches the unhealed wound on her face and says “no” to Gu Chuan for the first time—turns out what needs fixing is never her features, but her heart kidnapped by “love.”
