To her surprise, the small stall attracted three generations of the wealthy Shen family—rebellious Shen Xingyao ran away from home to eat buns, saying they tasted just like her missing mother's; overbearing Grandpa Shen Hongyuan cleared the stall daily to eat and even confessed, "Come home with me, I'll buy all your buns"; while eldest son Shen Mo secretly investigated the recipe, as it matched the one his mother left before disappearing 20 years ago!
