Lin Xiaoman was born with the ability to absorb others' misfortune, but she's been called a "jinx" her whole life. Until she meets Gu Jingshen, the CEO who's won "Year's Unluckiest Person" three years in a row—when she's near him, her power vanishes! Desperate to shake off the "jinx" label, Xiaoman intentionally creates chance meetings, but a "heroic rescue" leads Gu to misinterpret her as "throwing herself at him." To make it worse, Gu, wanting to use her power to fend off bad luck, pulls out a contract: "Be my fiancée until I'm no longer unlucky." While Xiaoman is eager to end her ability, Gu is scheming step by step. What she doesn't know—she's not just absorbing Gu's misfortune, but also the true heart he's hidden for twenty years.
