Lin Shen lives a simple yet sweet life with his wife Su Xiao—until his colleague Lao Zhang slams down surveillance footage: green snake scales in the kitchen at midnight, a serpentine shadow flashing across the balcony, insisting Su Xiao is a spirit-sucking snake demon. Lin Shen remembers how Su Xiao always rubs her joints on rainy days, saying it’s an “old ailment,” how she always picks the juiciest ribs from the soup for him. But the “victim list” Lao Zhang hands over includes Su Xiao’s ex-boyfriend who vanished three years ago. When he secretly follows her to an abandoned temple, he watches in horror as Su Xiao’s fingers sprout green scales under the moonlight… Between three years of tender companionship and irrefutable “demon evidence,” should he slash through the lie—or risk his life to trust her?
