With a dream of entering a prestigious university in Jingzhou, Lin Wanhe ventures into this unfamiliar city alone to start her academic journey. Her senior, who has a crush on her, repeatedly persuades her to quit school and stay with him for their future, but she firmly turns him down. To cover tuition and living costs, she takes three part-time jobs but runs into troubles like being scammed when renting an apartment and falling behind in courses, even being scolded by her professor for being late due to work. Thanks to a kind senior schoolmate’s help, she gradually gets on track. Although the senior still follows her quietly, she always keeps “study first” in mind, gains a firm foothold in Jingzhou through her own efforts, and makes the senior understand her persistence.
