Lin Xiaoman, an orphan who lost her parents young, works odd jobs to save for tuition. One day, she finds Shen Hongyuan, an old billionaire with angina, collapsing in a hospital alley—his children, busy fighting over inheritance, ignore his danger. Xiaoman gives him medicine, calls 120, and spends her last money on hot porridge to stay with him until he wakes. Looking at this patched-clothes girl with bright eyes, Shen thinks of his late daughter. When his sons crowd around only asking about the will, he declares: “Xiaoman is my biological granddaughter!” But the Shen brothers won’t tolerate her “stealing” their “share.” They frame her for “stealing” the family heirloom and smear her as a “gold-digger.” Clutching the old pocket watch from Grandpa Shen, Xiaoman says through gritted teeth: “I saved you not for money, but because I don’t want to regret not saying something warm to someone I care about, like I did.” When family love clashes with greed, who will guard the truest heart in this “granddaughter battle”?
