Lin Wanwan, a cold and glamorous CEO returning from overseas, faces both open sabotage from the board and anonymous threats when taking over her family's failing business. Jiang Ye, the bodyguard forced on her by her father, seems like a carefree slacker but is secretly a skilled fighter—he either mocks her for having “more CEO airs than the company’s market value” or carries her away to escape danger. From being bitter rivals who refuse to yield to each other, to Jiang Ye risking his life repeatedly to protect her from attacks, Lin Wanwan discovers the “slacker bodyguard” is actually the little boy who saved her years ago—and an avenger investigating her father’s death. When hatred clashes with love, can they solve the old mystery and hold onto each other?
