Lin Shen, a retired heir of medical and martial arts, became a business tycoon to guard the "Qing Nang Secret Record"—a sect treasure that cures the rare "Hundred Evils Disease". He monopolizes scarce herbs to hide the record, but a bizarre "medicine heist" shatters his peace: Su Xiao, his ex-lover, begs him to save her sister who suddenly contracted the disease—only the secret recipe works. Meanwhile, Gu Ye, his new assistant, hides a jade pendant from the family that massacred his sect years ago. Gu Ye helps him fend off business frame-ups while secretly searching for the record. When business conspiracies, medical integrity, and martial grudges entangle into a dead end, Lin Shen realizes: the "accident" of Su Xiao's sister and Gu Ye's "coincidental" employment are all traps set by the enemy he spared a decade ago! How will he break free from guarding the treasure, saving his love, and avenging his sect?
