After being laid off from her urban white-collar job, Lin Xiaoman returns to her hometown to take over her parents' struggling small restaurant "Yanhuo Renjia". At first, she only wants to muddle through, but in daily chores of running the restaurant and chatting with neighbors, she notices her parents' evasiveness hidden behind daily warmth—they act extra cautious towards a regular at an old alley and a mysterious teen delivering vegetables. The teen's half old jade pendant and vague memories he mentions slowly uncover the restaurant's secret: it not only holds warm bonds of neighbors, but also hides clues to the Lin family's younger son who went missing a decade ago, and the regrets parents have buried deep in their hearts.
