Lin Xiaoman, an ordinary office worker, boards a ship for the 'Desperate Island' variety show to win 100,000 yuan, only to discover the 'elimination game' is actual murder—her teammates' 'out' means falling into the sea, being electrocuted, or being chased by 'NPCs'. She meets Gu Chuan, a programmer who also senses something wrong. Together, they find a shocking truth in a secret passage: the mastermind is Zhou Ming, her former boss whom she rejected. Driven by paranoid possessiveness, he set up this 'love test' to make her 'choose' who to live with. In the final level, Zhou Ming pushes Gu Chuan off a cliff and forces Lin Xiaoman to choose: 'stay as his woman' or 'die with the dead'—how will she break this killing spree in the name of love?
