Trainee lawyer Su Xiaowan loses all her rent savings to a scammer. Desperate, she moves in with Gu Jingshen—a sharp-tongued lawyer who clashed with her in court last week! They agree to "stay out of each other's way," but soon get stuck in chaotic moments: fighting for the bathroom, splitting takeout, even covering for each other with meddling parents. As they grow closer, they find Gu's sarcasm hides a soft side (he secretly warms her milk) and Su's toughness masks vulnerability (she leaves him a lamp when he works late). When "having to tolerate" turns into "only wanting to tolerate you," they realize: the sweetest fate is always the one you can't run from.
