The spirited young princess of the Marquis of Zhenguo's Manor has a penchant for sneaking out for mischief. Tonight, she returns after sneaking to the Lantern Festival market: she's shattered a precious jade lantern from a high-ranking official's family, and even "borrowed" the neighboring prince's prized swift steed without asking permission. Clutching her torn sleeve chewed by the horse, she squats outside the manor's vermilion gate, pounding the knocker and yelling, "Daddy, open the door—your princess is home with trouble!" Nervous about facing her father's wrath and being grounded for months, she can't help gloating a little about her day's adventures. But when the door finally opens, what awaits her isn't the scolding she expects—instead, her father holds her favorite osmanthus pastry and a recent "reward for the stolen swift steed" notice posted on the street corner!
