Su Xiao, a modern magazine editor, accidentally travels back to a 1987 state-owned textile factory while searching for her grandmother's "unsent love letter." There, she meets Chen Mo, a reserved technical expert—who turns out to be the "missing lover" her grandmother always mentioned. Su Xiao tries to fix her grandmother's past regret, only to discover Chen Mo already knows she's from the future: he saw the adult Su Xiao in an old photo album! As Su Xiao is about to return to the present due to a time rift, Chen Mo takes out the red scarf from 36 years ago and reveals his secret: "I didn't leave because I was afraid of ruining her future"—which is exactly what her grandmother muttered on her deathbed: "I never blamed you." They hug at the edge of time, but Su Xiao's figure starts to fade. Can she carry this unspoken secret and heal two generations' regrets?
