Lin Wan, fresh from Germany, takes over her late father's bankrupt machinery factory only to discover it's riddled with corruption—procurement staff taking kickbacks leading to defective parts, sales managers colluding with competitors to steal clients, and even her own uncle embezzling public funds for personal debts. Pretending to be an inexperienced "vase director" to lower guards, she uses her father's old account books and employees' anonymous letters as her "blade" to gather evidence secretly. When her uncle pressures her with family ties and old-timers threaten to drive her out, Lin Wan presents irrefutable proof at a全厂 meeting. She not only cuts out all the rot but also leads the workers in a technological reform, reviving the dying factory.
