In the 1970s, Lin Mo, a youth sent to the countryside, was bludgeoned to death secretly and framed for stealing public seeds, with the whole village spurning and chasing him. Cornered, he hid in the deep mountains regarded as a deadly forbidden zone with his loyal old dog Ah Huang.
