Lin Shen, heir to the Dragon Slayer clan, has lived in the shadow of his father's false accusation of 'treason' for ten years. When he finally wields the Chixiao Sword, the symbol of a Dragon Slayer, he receives an anonymous clue—his father's death was a scheme by the clan elders to seize the dragon's core. Venturing into the Misty Forest, Lin Shen encounters the silver dragon guarding the dragon cave. Instead of attacking, the dragon spits out his father's jade pendant. It turns out his father didn't slay the dragon; he opposed the greedy elders to protect a dragon egg and was murdered. Now, Lin Shen must not only clear his father's name but also choose: between his clan and the dragons, to fulfill his father's unfinished mission of 'protection'.
