When unemployed white-collar Lin Xiaoman is desperate, she moves in with Shen Wantang, a mysterious roommate who "wears Chanel but takes the subway". She thinks it's two workers comforting each other—until one day Shen pulls up in a Maybach outside her company, handing her a black card: "I'll cover the rent." Turns out Shen is a retired food group heiress who hid her identity just to find someone who "doesn't care about money" to share hot meals with. From bickering over utility bills to opening up over late-night instant noodles, when Lin finally dares to say "I like you", Shen takes out a restaurant transfer contract: "I want to give the 'taste of home'—my most precious thing—to the one who knows me best." This "identity-mismatched" co-rental holds the warmest secret: the wealthy lady never wanted money—she wanted someone who dares to say, "Your porridge is too salty."
