Su Li, the top dan actress of the "Morning and Evening Pavilion" opera troupe, rose to fame in the south of the Yangtze River with her performance of "Falling Pear Blossoms". She lost her father in a fire ten years ago and has kept her heart closed ever since. The appearance of Gu Zhao, a mysterious merchant, breaks the peace—he sits in the first row every show, and the pear blossom hairpin he gives her is exactly the same as her father’s relic. Gu Zhao’s tenderness gradually melts Su Li’s defenses, but when she discovers Gu Zhao is here to investigate the truth of the fire, and the clue points to her father, their relationship instantly freezes. At this moment, a portrait from a past life dug up under the pear tree reveals a secret: they were a loving opera singer and general in their previous lives, separated by war. Reunited in this life to unravel the old misunderstanding, can they cross the thorns of truth and spend endless days together?
