Construction worker Chen Dachun's daughter needs life-saving money for leukemia, but his own brother secretly embezzles the money and absconds, even joining a property's ribbon-cutting project. With no way out, Chen drives an excavator to the scene directly. While publicly asking for debt, the excavator accidentally digs up dusty old village infrastructure plans — the whole village's road-building and prosperity hope was secretly hijacked by his brother. Angry Chen breaks the deadlock, retrieves the life-saving money, and decides to build a people-centered road for the village with his excavator, staging a counterattack story.
